If we compare their first game to the last, the differences in gameplay and graphics are massive. However, the franchise has been criticized for milking its customers with minor differences from one game to another.
Assassins Creed is an open-world game, and you travel back in history using a device called the “Animus.” This allows you to play as a fictional character from the past, exploring the world and complete your mission.
The first game was released in 2007, and since then, eleven more titles have been added to the main series. Each game set place in a different time in history, including 15th-century Florence, the French revolution in Paris, and the Peloponnesian War in Greece. The latest game, Assasins Creed Valhalla, was released in 2020, and you play as a Norse Viking setting out on a quest to conquer the Anglo-Saxon kingdom (England) and raid the land.
The game franchise has long been praised for its beautiful and often accurate depiction of the past. Several events in the series actually took place in history, and you often meet historical characters like Kleopatra, Benjamin Franklin or Leonardo Da Vinci.
Most people dream of creating a better version of themselves and getting a second attempt to create the life they wished they had. To some extent, this is what The Sims is all about. You build or buy a virtual house, fill it with the stuff you can afford and get a job so you can afford better stuff. Then you improve your skills and get on with your life. And if a sim annoys you, just place them in a room and remove the door and watch them slowly fade away into nothingness.
